Frequently Asked Questions
What is the length of Access Therapies assignments?
Assignments can be custom
tailored to your specific needs.
Is it possible for a traveler to stay longer
than his/her initial Access
Therapies assignment?
Many of our travelers choose to stay longer than
the terms of their initial assignment. You always
have the option of indefinitely extending a traveler's
assignment as long as the nurse and Access Therapies
are willing.
How much time does Access Therapies require
to find a traveler for a submitted position?
Access Therapies has successfully placed a traveler
within one day of our original interview with a client
hospital, and as far in advance as three months before
the required start. Access Therapies has an average
request-to-placement time period
of approximately 1-3 weeks.
What constitutes a full-time schedule for a
Access Therapies traveler?
36 to 40 hours per week on five 8-hour shifts or
three 12-hour shifts per week are considered full
time.
Does Access Therapies pay employer-related
taxes, workers' compensation and health insurance for
its travelers?
When the travelers are on Access Therapies payroll,
Access Therapies is responsible for the payment and
processing of taxes, insurance programs and related
costs. If Access Therapies travelers are on a client's
payroll and considered employees of our client, the
client is responsible for taxes and insurance.
What is the cost of Access Therapies' traveler
services?
Access Therapies will provide you with an exact rate
for the specific health professionals required at
your facility. Since contract options, traveler pay
rates, housing costs and other costs influencing rates
vary widely, there is no fixed cost per Access Therapies
traveler. But we will beat or meet any of our competition
cost per hour.
How will I get confirmation of acceptance?
We send a confirmation letter-detailing shift; start
date and the unit the nurse will be working.
Access Therapies Services
What makes Access Therapies services different?

you expect from a staffing provider. Access Therapies
handles recruitment, payroll, housing and travel,
alleviating the time and expense of performing these
tasks at your facility. We cover all insurance including
workers' compensation, professional liability, unemployment
and all other taxes. We maintain a permanent record
of your personnel needs taking into consideration
your peak and seasonal requirements so you are never
understaffed or overstaffed.
Who do I work with if I use the services of
Access Therapies?
Initially you will establish a relationship with
us through the Access Therapies Administrative Director
for your facility's area. Once a contractual relationship
is created, you will have single source/single person
accountability with one of Access Therapies' Account
Executives. Your Account Executive coordinates all
Access Therapies traveler-related activity and procedures.
How are Access Therapies candidates qualified
to meet our specifications?
Access Therapies' screening and qualification analysis
programs are among the most exacting in the travel
health professional's industry. We complete exhaustive
background checks and detailed skill certifications
before presenting our travelers to our clients. Any
traveler candidate submitted by Access Therapies will
have at least one year experience in their professional
specialty, will have current and verifiable references,
will have an appropriate license and a clinical skills
checklist which meets your specifications. Access Therapies' average traveler has approximately 10
years of experience.
Do I have traveler contract flexibility?
Absolutely! From payroll administration to housing
and travel expense reimbursement, you can choose to
have Access Therapies or your own administrator provide
these services. However, as our travelers' employer
of record, we are responsible for all payroll related
taxes, workers' compensation, health and dental insurance.
How do we start the traveler selection and
qualification process?
Based on the specifications of your traveler position
request, an Access Therapies Account Executive will
conduct a database selection and match process. After
determining a prospective traveler's interest in your
facility, we will immediately transmit the traveler's
employment profile, including references and clinical
skills checklists.
How do I accept a traveler?
Your assignment offer will be your choice via your
Access Therapies Account Executive. Access Therapies
will confirm the traveler candidate's acceptance of
your offer, and will then handle all your traveler's
pre-arrival requirements.
