Position: Nurse in a multidisciplinary team

Shift: 12 hr shifts either on days (7am-7:30pm or 9am-9:30pm) or nights (7:30am-7pm or 9pm-9:30am)

Meets with each potential new admission and completes medical screening assessment.
Screens for medical appropriateness for admission to facility and consults with the physician.
Completes initial nursing assessment and full medical admission process upon admission for each client.
Ensures all orders from physician/psychiatrist are carried out and communicates client information clearly.
Develops and initiates the Nursing Care Plan.
Counts narcotics each day, logs appropriately.
Performs blood draws.
Orders and ensures availability of medications for clients in facility.
Manages and orders supplies, maintaining a fully stocked nursing station.
Conducts a weekly chart audit to ensure all medications have consent forms.
Ensures all orders are carried out and documented appropriately for each client.
Objectively and accurately documents client progress on a daily basis.
Assesses client suicidality and potential danger to self or others.

Experience: One year experience preferred working in mental health, counseling, or eating disorders field.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing accepted.
