Job Responsibilities
- Promote the health and wellness of individuals supported.
- Provide services, advocacy, and education for quality healthcare to persons with developmental disabilities, brain injuries, and neurological impairments.
- Operate within personal license constraints in accordance with various regulatory guidelines.
- Provide nursing care management oversight and improve quality of life and healthcare for persons served.
- Serve as a key liaison, advocate, and resource of information regarding routine and special healthcare needs.
- Facilitate teamwork to ensure continuous quality care for individuals through interaction with family members, clinical staff, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and assess healthcare needs of individuals supported and collaboratively implement a comprehensive healthcare plan.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Registered Nurse with current and valid N.J. license
- Degree in Nursing
- Certification in Case Management or Developmental Disability
- Minimum of two years of general nursing experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a Brain Injury Specialist
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN)
- Three years of prior nursing experience preferred
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of two years of general nursing experience, with three years preferred.
Education: Degree in Nursing required.
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
- Certification in Case Management or Developmental Disability
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
