Position: Leadership position in Operating Room

Pay: $108,160.00 - $156,000.00 per year

Job Responsibilities
- Manage the operations of the Main Adult Operating Rooms.
- Serve as traffic control and liaison between the OR, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and patients.
- Maintain clinical expertise to ensure safe, effective, and consistent patient care according to RWJUH standards.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development for patient care.
- Provide open lines of communication for reporting medical errors and near misses.
- Interview and hire licensed and unlicensed personnel in collaboration with the OR Director.
- Assist in maintaining a positive preceptor/orientee relationship.
- Conduct performance evaluations for service line team members in a timely manner.
- Manage and control service line expenditures within agreed budgets.
- Create and implement action plans for metrics not meeting established goals.
- Monitor and assure quality patient care in the Operating Rooms.
- Effectively communicate information to staff and manage resources.
- Prepare and maintain staff schedule and payroll.
- Collaboratively handle 50 percent of patient care responsibilities.

Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Previous experience as a nursing director
Requirements
Experience: 3-5 years of Operating Room nursing experience
Education: BSN required
License & Certification:
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
