Job Responsibilities

Deliver high quality of care to patients in an Emergency Room setting
Quickly assess the severity of patients' conditions
Observe and record patient vital signs
Administer intravenous fluids and medications
Properly use ventilators, monitors, and other types of medical equipment
Order diagnostic tests
Collaborate on-the-spot with other team members
Apply nursing protocols to life-threatening situations

Ability to retrieve and interpret data

Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
Effective eye and hand coordination

Preferred Skills

BSN or MSN preferred
BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)

Requirements

Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN within a specific time frame)

License & Certification:

Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
