Pay: $108,160.00 - $156,000.00 per year

Job Responsibilities
- Facilitates the safe and effective functioning of the unit.
- Interviews and hires unlicensed personnel.
- Interviews and hires licensed personnel in collaboration with Nursing Director.
- Facilitates the orientation process for new employees.
- Makes assignments that maintain preceptor-orientee relationship.
- Works with the preceptor-orientee to solve any problems.
- Ensures that orientees complete the unit-based orientation within an appropriate individualized time frame.
- Continuously assesses patient care to evaluate staff knowledge and patterns of performance.
- Counsels staff on identified areas for improvement.
- Evaluates staff performance and completes the performance evaluation in a timely manner.
- Implements appropriate disciplinary action.
- Plans/coordinated unit based education programs as identified by unit needs.
- Considers staff participation in safety/quality initiatives when completing employee performance appraisals.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- BSN
- Hospital nursing experience
- Experience in Cardiac or Telemetry Unit / LVAD and/or CV Transplant
Preferred Skills
- Previous Nursing Leadership experience
- National certification for clinical specialty
Requirements
Experience: At least 3 - 5 years hospital nursing experience
Education: BSN
License & Certification:
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License
Schedule:
- Night Shift, 40 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, some weekend commitment and holiday rotation
