Job Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population.
- Collaborative planning, coordinating, and delivering quality care to medical, surgical, and telemetry patients.
- Care for pre-and post-surgical patients including those undergoing bariatric and orthopedic procedures.
- Facilitate best practices to deliver quality care through nursing interventions.
- Communicate results to the healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and their families on medical and post-surgical care.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Superb interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Competency in electronic patient management systems
Preferred Skills
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting
- Certified MS-RN in nursing
- ACLS certification
Requirements
Experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
License & Certification:
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification required
