Job Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee the delivery of care to Assisted Living residents, ensuring that emotional, physical, psychological, and safety needs are met through all program services and activities.
  • Coordinate care conferences with the Executive Director, serving as a liaison between residents, families, and staff.
  • Manage labor costs, supplies, and other line items in the clinical budget.
  • Monitor documentation systems to ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes for assessments and service plans.
  • Write and review residents’ assessments/evaluations and care plans with appropriate staff.
  • Assess/evaluate potential residents for Assisted Living level of care, possibly in their home or another healthcare setting.
  • Schedule and conduct new resident orientation for Assisted Living Residents.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor staff training programs and in-services for Assisted Living staff.
  • Manage all nursing and other assisted living staff, communicating pertinent resident health and safety information.
  • Oversee and complete staff schedules and daily assignments.
  • Maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention and safe working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements, including mandatory reporting.
  • Complete and file concern and incident reports, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
  • Assist and/or perform in mock surveys.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Managed a clinical team in a senior living or hospital setting.
  • LPN/LVN or RN license required.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-level tasks such as scheduling staff and scheduling care conferences.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR clinical documentation systems.
  • Organizational and time management skills.

Requirements

Experience: Managed a clinical team in a senior living or hospital setting.

Education:

License & Certification:

  • LPN/LVN or RN license required.
  • Must maintain CEU and other state requirements.

Schedule:

  • 24/7 on-call clinical support.
