Job Responsibilities
- Assume primary leadership and management of defined clinical nursing areas.
- Facilitate and deliver comprehensive quality nursing care.
- Manage the environment in which care is given.
- Ensure adherence to hospital or department and university policies.
- Ensure compliance with nursing policies, procedures, standards, and practices.
- Oversee goals and planning for clinical areas.
- Focus on customer service and marketing.
- Manage certification and accreditation processes.
- Handle administrative management tasks and budget/cost containment.
- Foster communication and education within the team.

Requirements
Experience: Three years post-licensure acute care RN experience (preferably in a specialty area) including leadership experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Nursing required
License & Certification:
- NYS Licensed/Registered RN required
- CPR-BLS certification required by the time of appointment
