Job Responsibilities
- Takes and records vital signs.
- Measures and records height and weight.
- Calculates and records fluid intake and output.
- Recognizes abnormal changes in body functioning and reports changes to a supervisor.
- Provides assistance with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
- Transfers, positions, and turns residents.
- Provides skin care.
- Contributes to resident’s assessment and plan of care.
- Provides nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
- Cares for residents with dementia.
- Follows the schedule of resident’s needs set out by supervisor.
- Provides emotional and social support to residents.
- Promotes and protects resident rights and assists residents in making informed decisions.
- Treats residents with dignity and respect, protects personal belongings, and reports suspected abuse or neglect.
- Avoids the need for physical restraints in accordance with professional standards.
- Supports independent expression, choice, and decision-making.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- CNA License (for Caregivers)
- Medication Technician Certification (for Med Techs)
- Experience in a Senior Living Community
Preferred Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience working in a Senior Living Community.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
License & Certification:
- CNA License for Caregivers
- Medication Technician Certification for Med Techs
