Job Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an identified group of patients.
Conduct telephone-based triage.
Provide patient and family education.
Manage test results.
Coordinate patient care needs.
Process medication refills.
Perform other tasks as assigned from a clinical capacity.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Expert communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to multi-task.
Strong proactive organizational skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with Epic Nurse Triage Software and call center technology.

Preferred Skills

Ability to mentor co-workers on job tasks and workflows.
Pediatrics background.

Requirements

Experience: Two years of clinical experience required; one year of RN experience or nursing student clinical rotation may be considered; three to five years of clinical nursing experience in an applicable specialty preferred.

Education: Completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

License & Certification:

Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
