Provides direct patient care at a proficient level using the nursing process.
Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to a multidisciplinary care team.
Collaborates to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and support needs.
Evaluates learning needs of patients/families and provides appropriate education.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
Requires critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

1+ years of cardiac nursing experience
Experience with acute myocardial infarction (AMI), chronic heart failure (CHF), and coronarily artery disease (CAD)

Experience: 6 months of nursing (RN) experience; 1+ years of cardiac RN experience strongly preferred.

Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
