Job Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive direct care for patients with abdominal ostomies, complex wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers and skin integrity problems.
- Pre-operative counseling and stoma marking for patients undergoing ostomy surgery.
- Ensures coordination and continuity of patient care for patients with ostomy, complex wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers and skin integrity problems.
- Provides education to patient/family regarding ostomy and wound self-care management.
- Participates in discharge planning for wound and ostomy patients.
- Evaluates new and current products related to job.
- Clinical preceptor for new RNs as requested.
- Provides educational programs for clinical staff in wound and/or ostomy care as requested.

Requirements
Experience: Two years of wound care experience.
Education: BSN preferred but not required.
License & Certification:
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system (to be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah, or must obtain one within 90 days of hire under the interstate compact.
Schedule:
- Regularly scheduled 12-hour shifts
