Job Title: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Nuclear Cardiology
Position: Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Primary Nurse Practitioner, Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant

Pay: $2,000.00 CME allowance annually

Job Responsibilities
- Deliver care to nuclear cardiology testing patients
- Maintain accurate patient's records
- Provide a safe testing environment for cardiac patients
- Oversee all testing in area
- Deliver quality care while maintaining productivity metrics
- Triage, evaluate, assess, consent, and supervise pharmacologic and exercise stress tests
- Serve as a backup provider for the cardiac transitional care clinic
- Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and specialty referrals
- Plan and coordinate health care education for patients, families, and other health care providers
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments
- Interpret, analyze, and evaluate patient’s medical record and social data
- Perform and/or assist the physician with procedures per collaborative agreement
- Coordinate and participate in performance improvement activities

Requirements
Experience: Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Education: Master's degree in Nursing with a Family NP, Adult Primary NP, or Adult Acute Care NP certification, or graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
License & Certification:
- Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners with certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required
