Job Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates employee health services in the local market.
- Serves as a key resource for education, communication, and support related to occupational health, infection prevention, workers compensation and staff wellness initiatives.
- Implements and maintains employee health policies and procedures in alignment with AH System goals and regulatory standards.
- Manages and evaluates annual medical surveillance programs, organizing and reviewing diagnostic tests ensuring employees are medically fit.
- Reviews documentation to confirm employees meet medical requirements for their roles and refers for further evaluation as needed.
- Provides initial evaluation and treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses according to AH system protocols.
- Collaborates with treating providers and others to facilitate timely return-to-work plans and prevent injury recurrence.
- Coordinates investigations of employee exposures to communicable diseases ensuring proper follow-up and reporting.
- Monitors trends in employee injuries and illnesses, conducting reviews and presenting findings to leadership.
- Oversees immunization programs, tuberculosis screening, and substance abuse testing in accordance with guidelines.
- Assists in coordinating reasonable accommodations or job modifications for employees with medical restrictions.
- Reviews return-to-work documentation for employees recovering from illness or injury.
- Maintains accurate and confidential employee health records following regulatory requirements.
- Actively participates in performance improvement initiatives based on health and safety data.
- Attends professional development meetings serving on committees to disseminate practices to staff and leadership.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: One year relevant experience preferred.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of practice required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certified required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
