Job Responsibilities

Perform initial clinical assessments of injured or ill employees or contractors.
Determine appropriate work status and provide direct nursing care.
Ensure follow-up through appropriate referrals in accordance with established procedures.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and potential exposure incidents.
Ensure accurate communication and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
Partner with Employee Services Managers for case management and coordination of health care services.
Collaborate with and guide hospital Nurse Managers on standardized employee health practices.
Develop, implement, and evaluate education, training, and awareness programs for occupational health.
Seek and share occupational health industry trend information.
Maintain medical confidentiality in all interactions.
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain accurate documentation.
Perform clinical skills including blood draws, medication administration, and pulmonary function testing.
Identify and communicate employee work-related health concerns to appropriate leaders.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience with occupational health and employee health.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required; Master’s Degree highly preferred.

License & Certification:

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
