Job Responsibilities

Examining and treating patients
Taking patients’ medical histories
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
Educating and counseling patients
Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care
Performing other duties as assigned by leaders

Required Skills

Core Skills

Excellent assessment skills
Work experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
Applicable office procedures including but not limited to suturing and splinting
Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Skills

Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
Strong listening skills

Requirements

Experience: 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience; Minimum 18 months experience in applicable practice setting; One year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or two years of Urgent Care setting experience required

Education: Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants; Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners

License & Certification:

National Certification
Active state medical licensure
NCCPA Certification for Physician Assistants
ANCC or AANP Certification for Nurse Practitioners

Schedule:

Weekend shifts and limited on-call availability are required
Each team member is assigned a primary anchor/home center with secondary centers nearby
