Serve as a mentor, role model and facilitator who provides guidance and academic support for students.
Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process.
Apply skills and experience to the assigned teaching schedule.
Participate in assessment activities of courses/curriculum and programs via a continuous improvement plan.
Contribute to improvement of class materials and syllabi within a shared governance culture.
Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students.
Maintain scholarly activities.
Participate in professional growth and service in accordance with university policies.
Advance commitment and focus on student success as healthcare professionals.
Fully leverage innovative technologies and resources, such as Simulation and Innovation Labs.
Assume responsibility for students in clinical facilities.
Clarify clinical expectations with students and clinical facility staff.
Utilize care planning time for student preparation.
Assess student knowledge and skill level for patient safety.
Utilize pre- and post-conference to connect theory and clinical experiences.
Provide immediate feedback on clinical performance.

Experience: Minimum of two years experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care and one year in the field being taught.

Education: Master's degree in nursing
