Job Responsibilities
- Accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care
- Supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and the continuum of care
- Functions within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model
- Plans, implements, evaluates, and communicates all phases of nursing care for assigned patients
- Provides leadership through preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts
- Delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and availability of resources
- Possesses excellent communication skills and is skillful in mentoring and teaching
- May participate on committees or projects
- A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their role

Requirements
Experience: One year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is preferred
Education: Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program recognized by ACEN, CCNE, or NLN CNEA
License & Certification:
- Current RN license by applicable state requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required upon hire
Schedule:
- Days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call as required
