Job Responsibilities
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
- May precept student nurses and new hires.
- Evaluates learning needs of the patient and family and provides appropriate patient and family education.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including disposition, referral, and psychosocial support needs.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
