Pay: $20.00 - $29.50, may qualify for a sign on bonus of $5000

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned residents under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN).
  • Deliver age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan.
  • Assist with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, obtaining and recording vital signs.
  • Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Assist residents in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate techniques.
  • Complete tasks related to food preparation and dining, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures as needed.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing conditions and care concerns to the charge nurse.
  • Collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs.
  • Provide housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents.
  • Support wellness and recreational programs, encouraging resident participation.
  • Participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
  • Complete tasks related to the Restorative Nursing program, including documentation and leading restorative programs.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • Experience in long-term care
  • Ability to provide comprehensive resident care

Preferred Skills

  • Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience
  • Yearly competency testing and continuing education in nursing

Requirements

Experience: Two years' clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Education: High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.

License & Certification:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing
  • Certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry (if applicable)
