Job Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise clinical functions and activities of the department or group of practices.
- Implement and interpret policies, standards, and regulations for personnel, patients, and families.
- Partner with operational and physician leadership to make strategic decisions regarding clinical processes, budget, and equipment purchases.
- Ensure strategic decisions comply with regulatory standards and organizational financial goals.
- Maintain personnel records for clinical team members in collaboration with operational leadership.
- Assist with payroll, OSHA compliance, and other administrative functions as appropriate.
- Supervise clinical team members and direct their selection, performance appraisal, and work allocation.
- Develop and implement training for clinical team members in conjunction with the Education department.
- Ensure correct onboarding procedures for new clinical team members.
- Facilitate yearly competencies with clinical leads at each practice.
- Cascades pertinent clinical information to direct reports and other practice staff as applicable.
- Identify patient/client needs and recommend/develop new programs and services to meet those needs.
- Participate in hospital/medical staff committee meetings as required.
- Act as a liaison/representative of physician leadership from supported department/group of practices.
- Attend and serve on professional/civic service organizations as system representative.
- Direct activities related to the accomplishment of department objectives and establish quality levels and standards.
- Assess activities to ensure continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other management team members.
- Serve as a role model for other employees by performance and actions.
- Apply management counseling skills in supervision and motivation of personnel.
- Maintain and promote good interpersonal relationships.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina
- Working knowledge of patient equipment (Vitals, Suction, Defib)
- Supervisory skills
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Certification in Specialty area
- Experience in Nursing, Ambulatory or specialty area
Requirements
Experience: Three (3) years related work experience; supervisory experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or health-related field of study; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
License & Certification:
- Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina
- Certification in Specialty area preferred
Schedule:
- Day shift expected
