Job Title: RN | Ortho/Neuro/Surgical
Position: Registered Nurse in Ortho/Neuro/Sur Nursing
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: $34.00 - $42.50 (Determined by the knowledge, skills, and experience of the applicant.)
Shift: Designated shift lengths including 8 and 12 hours, may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours

Job Responsibilities
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the Healthcare consumer’s health and/or the situation.
- Analyze assessment data to determine the diagnosis or the issues.
- Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the Healthcare consumer or the situation.
- Develop a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
- Implement the identified plan and ensure patient progression along the plan.
- Coordinate care delivery.
- Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Provide consultation to influence the identified plan, enhance the abilities of others and effect change.
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
- Enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
- Attain knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practice.
- Evaluate one’s own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines, relevant statutes, rules, and regulations.
- Interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and colleagues.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and others in the conduct of nursing practice.
- Integrate ethical provisions in all areas of practice.
- Integrate research findings into practice.
- Consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost and impact on practice in the planning and delivery of nursing services.
- Provide leadership in the professional practice setting and the profession.
- Practice within the legal scope of a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Abide by the Provisions of the Code of Ethics for Nurses.
- Proficiently use applicable technology and software to support and document nursing activities and patient care.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve the quality of patient care delivery through innovative and creative problem solving.
Required Skills

- Strong clinical nursing skills
- Understanding of the ANA Standards of Professional Nursing Practice
- Ability to utilize the nursing process
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
- 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of Registered Nurse Experience
Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
License & Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) - Within 60 days of hire or transfer

- Designated shift lengths including 8 and 12 hours
