Job Responsibilities
- Provides care to designated patients using a patient/family centered approach.
- Employs observational skills and communicates findings, changes, or problems to the RN.
- Uses effective verbal and non-verbal communication styles with patients and staff.
- Supports unit-based patient experience and overall hospital goals.
- Participates in the orientation of new staff members.
- Performs validated technical skills based on clinical specialty and unit practice.
- Completes quality control checks on designated unit equipment.
- Conducts patient rounds and responds promptly to patient needs.

- Ability to provide accurate reports
- Basic computer skills
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
Preferred Skills
- Experience in direct provision of patient care activities
- Effective communication skills
Requirements
Experience: Six months recent experience in direct provision of patient care activities or completion of LVHN's inexperienced technical partner course.
Education: High School Diploma/GED
License & Certification:
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support within 180 Days
