Job Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor PCTs, LPN/LVNs, and RNs to ensure exceptional patient care.
Maintain compliance with DaVita policies and regulatory standards.
Provide clinical leadership to improve team performance and patient outcomes.
Perform direct patient care, including dialysis initiation & termination, physical assessments, and treatment planning.
Ensure accurate and timely execution of prescribed dialysis treatments.
Partner with physicians to analyze patient data and develop individualized care plans.
Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Guide patients and families through the dialysis process, ensuring they understand their treatment and care.
Provide educational support to help patients live healthier lives.
Assist in evaluating and coaching clinical teammates to help them grow.
Act as a clinical expert and problem solver, supporting teammates with complex cases.
Troubleshoot clinical challenges and implement best practices for improvement.
Assist in scheduling teammates and patients to ensure seamless operations.
Support other duties as needed to maintain a high standard of care.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Strong patient care and assessment skills
Ability to train and mentor teammates in dialysis care
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and ability to gain functional proficiency in DaVita’s clinical systems within 90 days

Preferred Skills

BSN degree
CDN certification
Additional relevant certifications

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 2+ years as a dialysis RN with leadership experience preferred

Education: Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing

License & Certification:

Current RN license in the state of practice
CPR certification
Additional certifications such as Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
