Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for a professional nurse.
Perform all staff nurse activities and function as charge nurse when assigned.
Maintain overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients, delegating activities/tasks appropriately.
Perform assignments considering the age and developmental level of patients being served.

Demonstrates teamwork and communicates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team.
Demonstrates the ability to learn and apply computer technologies and procedures that affect patient care delivery.

Experience: Less than one year of related experience.

Education: Associate's Degree in nursing; BSN required within three (3) years of hire for new hires effective June 14, 2017.

License & Certification:

Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida or confirmation letter for eligibility.
BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required on the first day of employment.
ACLS from the American Heart Association required at hire or transfer for certain departments.
PALS from the American Heart Association required within six (6) months for specific departments.
Crisis Prevention Institute training within ninety (90) days, and then annually, required for Psych Unit.
