Job Responsibilities

Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period
Assess and document patient’s status upon arrival in the recovery room
Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered
Monitor patient and inform dentist or anesthetist of observed complications

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's degree in nursing
Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience

Experience:

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License & Certification:

Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 60 days of hire
