Job Responsibilities
- Share 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of new team members for the unit.
- Coordinate with HR on corrective action and career advancement.
- Investigate event reports and provide feedback to nursing management and staff.
- Oversee schedules to ensure appropriate staffing for patient care.
- Maintain oversight of patient flow and intervene as needed.
- Perform Nurse Leader rounds to identify variances from best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure customer experience standards are met and provide service recovery.
- Interface with patients and families to promote engagement in care.
- Participate or lead staff meetings and demonstrate unit ownership.
- Perform direct patient care activities as required.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.
- Respect rights and privacy of others, maintaining confidentiality.
- Complete incident reports appropriately and follow up on events.
- Maintain regular attendance consistent with organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years’ experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
License & Certification:
- Current RN license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Current BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification may be required
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification may be required
