Job Responsibilities
- Share 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of new team members for the unit.
- Coordinate with Nursing Operations Manager and Human Resources on corrective actions and career advancements.
- Investigate event reports and provide feedback to the Nursing Operations Manager and team.
- Oversee schedules to ensure proper staff mix for patient care.
- Maintain oversight of patient flow and intervene to achieve expected outcomes.
- Perform Nurse Leader rounds to identify variances from nursing best practices and standards.
- Participate in process/quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes and practices.
- Ensure excellent customer experience by all team members and provide service recovery as needed.
- Interface with patients and families to promote participation in care coordination.
- Lead staff meetings and demonstrate ownership of unit outcomes.
- Perform direct patient care activities as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the rights and privacy of others.
- Complete incident reports as necessary and follow up on event reports.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.
Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
License & Certification:
- Current RN license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure compact (NLC)
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, or TNCC certifications may be required based on patient population.
