Job Responsibilities

Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician.
Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses, and coordination of care in a timely manner.
Participate, implement, and update the nursing care plan.
Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with policies and regulations.
Provide care utilizing infection control measures according to OSHA standards.
Educate the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs.

Preferred Skills

Home health experience
Six months of recent experience as a Licensed Nurse in a clinical care setting

Requirements

Experience: Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

License & Certification:

Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse
Current CPR certification
