Job Responsibilities

Assign patients to nurses and monitor their work within the unit.
Assist the Clinical Manager in supervising assigned employees during the shift.
Carry a patient load and apply the nursing process to deliver basic, safe, therapeutic care.
Provide care for individuals or groups of patients in an Emergency Care setting.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Effective supervision
Nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and coordination of patient care)
Standards of care and disease process
Patient care plan development and evaluation techniques
Knowledge of emergency response policies and procedures

Preferred Skills

ICU RN experience
Charge Nurse experience
Strong communication skills with diverse populations

Requirements

Experience: Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience; minimum of three (3) years of ICU RN experience with at least one (1) year in MICU; minimum of one (1) year of Charge Nurse experience.

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

License & Certification:

Valid License by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification
