Job Responsibilities
- Provides direct and indirect nursing care based on established patient care protocol and the nursing process.
- Coordinates with team members to provide a team-based approach to care.
- Performs treatments, procedures, and medication/immunization administration according to organization policy and procedures.
- Completes accurate assessments of physical, mental, emotional, developmental, and social conditions when interviewing patients and families.
- Coordinates the scheduling of diagnostic tests and procedures with patients/families, other physicians/hospitals, and insurance providers.
- Documents patient and family education appropriately.
- Demonstrates care based on age-specific developmental milestones according to organization protocols.
- Completes all patient care documentation timely and accurately in electronic medical records.
- Responds appropriately in crisis situations or life-threatening emergencies.
- Directs other team members in the delivery of nursing care as determined by the office manager or physicians.
- Demonstrates proficiency in critical thinking skills during phone triage.
- Maintains compliance with laboratory standards and guidelines.
- Promotes use of Children’s Connect by communicating with parents via online portal.
- Takes ownership of quality metrics for continuous improvement.
- Maintains clean and professional appearance of exam rooms.
- Ensures appropriate supply and linen levels.
- Attends required meetings and educational sessions.
- Regular attendance at work is an essential function.

Requirements
Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience, or commitment to a Nurse Residency Program if less than 1 year.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
License & Certification:
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure in Nebraska or Compact State Licensure
- BLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association
Schedule:
- 4 days/week
- Occasional weekend
