Job Responsibilities
- Leads prenatal and postnatal patient education classes, including childbirth preparation, baby care, breastfeeding, and maternity tours.
- Provides educational support to parents and families attending classes according to developed curricula and guidelines.
- Offers feedback to the program coordinator regarding programs, supplies, and individual patient needs.
- Travels to teach outside the hospital within the community (in areas such as West Hartford, Glastonbury, Wethersfield, Enfield, and Avon).

- Ability to teach and educate families
- Registered Nurse experience in Women’s Health
Preferred Skills
- Patient teaching experience
- Certification in area of specialty (IBCLC, Certified Lactation Counselor, Prepared Childbirth Education-PCE)
Requirements
Experience: Minimum two years of previous Registered Nurse experience within Women’s Health
Education: RN Diploma, BS in Nursing or BS, BA non-nursing
License & Certification:
- RN CT License
