Job Responsibilities

Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
Continuously observe and assess patient condition and care needs; report changes in condition to the supervisor and/or physician.
Document all activities, assessments, nursing actions, responses and coordination of care in a timely manner.
Participate, implement and update the nursing care plan.
Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment to achieve expected outcomes.
Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention; implement care to prevent or reduce risk.
Accept personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, accrediting bodies, and the Nurse Practice Act.
Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards.
Educate the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
Maintain knowledge of competencies related to the nursing profession by participating in educational programs, continued education units, and skill evaluations.

Requirements

Experience: Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

License & Certification:

Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
Current CPR certification

Schedule:

Flexible scheduling with availability for full-time, part-time, or PRN.
