Job Responsibilities
- Provide high quality patient care as part of a pool of Advanced Practice Providers.
- Assigned to provide care within the scope of granted privileges.
- Work in outpatient clinics (both on-campus and outreach), inpatient floors, perioperative services, and the emergency department.
- Report to the Orthopedics Practice Supervisor for work hours and patient care assignments.
- Collaborate with the physician of record for patient-specific care.
- Participate in call rotation for after-hours surgery assistance and clinic coverage.
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Current license as a Registered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
- Current or eligible for NYS DEA license.
- ACLS certification.
Preferred Skills
- Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Orthopedics.
- Three years of orthopedics clinical experience.
- Experience as an orthopedic surgical Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner.
Requirements
Experience: Three (3) years of orthopedics clinical experience as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Education:
License & Certification:
- Registered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
- NYS DEA license.
- ACLS certification.
