Position: Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Job Responsibilities
- Examining and treating patients
- Taking patients’ medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays
- Making diagnoses and prescribing medications
- Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting
- Recording progress notes for follow-up patients
- Educating and counseling patients
- Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients
- Giving vaccinations and referring patients to additional care
- Performing other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Core Skills
- Excellent assessment skills
- Experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Room setting
- Applicable office procedures including suturing and splinting
- Ability to perform minor procedures
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Experience treating patients ages 6 months and up in an acute care setting
Requirements
Experience: 2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants, Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
License & Certification:
- National Certification
- Active state medical licensure
- NCCPA Certification for Physician Assistants
- ANCC or AANP Certification for Nurse Practitioners
Schedule:
- Scheduling flexibility to accommodate vacations and wellness days
- Weekend shifts and limited on-call availability required
