Assist in performing specific duties and activities of daily living for patients.
Adhere to the AdventHealth Orlando Corporate Compliance Plan and all applicable regulations.
Participate in outstanding customer service and maintain respectful relationships.
Perform patient care tasks under the direction of a registered nurse.
Document and report all procedures legibly in accordance with department policy.
Participate in obtaining nursing history and report abnormalities to RN.
Assist in identifying needs and modifying the plan of care.
Perform treatments according to policy and procedure.
Provide patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
Function appropriately in clinical emergencies.
Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities.
Support quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
Follow CDC isolation guidelines and demonstrate appropriate use of PPE.
Perform handwashing according to policy and enforce safety regulations.
Exhibit a desire to learn and upgrade skills.
Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operation of the department.
May perform waived and/or non-waived Point of Care Testing.

Experience: 1+ year of applicable PCT experience and previous bedside patient care experience required.

Education: Nursing Assistant training required or successful completion of practical nurse fundamentals.
