Job Responsibilities
- Work with children and ask questions about their health for diagnosis and document patients' symptoms and medical history for the doctor.
- Assess a child's needs and provide initial care.
- Identify changes in children's symptoms and intervene in emergencies.
- Participate in pain management for children.
- Administer medications, draw blood, and give childhood vaccinations following age-appropriate guidelines.
- Monitor temperature, pulse, breathing, and blood pressure while keeping accurate records.
- Evaluate children for signs and symptoms of abuse.
- Provide supportive care to dying children.
- Manage the anxieties and demands of parents, helping families to cope with their child's illness or injury.
- Remain up to date on the latest developments, rules, regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures.

Requirements
Experience: One year of experience as a clinical pediatric nurse strongly preferred, home care experience preferred.

- Active RN license within the State of practice
- Current certifications (variable depending on the facility)
