Job Title: Licensed Clinician - Emergency Services

Position: Clinician responsible for crisis intervention and mental health support

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $66,380 + $85,000+ (starting salary depends on education and relevant experience)

Shift: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete pre-admission screening and crisis intervention to the 24-hour Emergency Services Unit and the CIT Assessment Center
  • Complete risk assessments to determine the appropriate level of care using the least restrictive alternative to manage crises
  • Advocate for individuals requiring inpatient treatment, crisis stabilization, or detox services
  • Consult with magistrate regarding TDOs and ECOs to promote safety of individuals and the community
  • Maintain documentation in electronic health record in compliance with agency quality assurance standards
  • Provide 30-day crisis interventions to individuals who may require short-term solution-focused interventions
  • Coordinate admissions to hospitals and other outpatient treatment options
  • Represent CIBH in commitment hearings
  • Work closely with law enforcement to triage mental health crises in the community
  • Use DSM-V-TR to formulate diagnoses
  • Complete crisis assessments and treatment plans
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of two years of related, full-time equivalent experience

Education: Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a closely related field

License & Certification:

  • State of Virginia licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Clinical Psychologist (LCP)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist MD/DO
  • Bachelor’s Prepared Registered Nurse (RN) with five years of experience

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week in a 24 hour program, may work hours in excess of normally scheduled hours in response to short-term needs
