Job Responsibilities
- Participates with the Health Care Team in delivering quality and customer-focused care to patients.
- Provides nursing and administrative support to clinicians and other health care team members.
- Engages in direct and indirect patient care activities requiring nursing knowledge and skills.
- Conducts focused nursing assessments and triage on routine or self-limiting conditions.
- Recognizes signs and symptoms of common medical conditions.
- Contributes to the development, implementation or modification of patient's plan of care.
- Prepares patients for visits or procedures and ensures exam rooms are ready.
- Provides health education and advice regarding routine medical conditions.
- Documents data and nursing care outcomes using KP HealthConnect and other systems.
- Performs diagnostic tests, therapies, and procedures competently within the scope of practice.
- Maintains and adjusts clinician's patient schedule for efficient patient visits.
- Responds to patient messages and requests appropriately.
- Assists in coordinating patient care for those with complex health needs.
- Participates in population-based care outreach activities.
- Demonstrates flexibility in prioritizing workflow for urgent demands.
- Serves as a clinic resource and assists with mentoring peers.
- Completes annual competency assessments and maintains clinical knowledge.

Preferred Skills
- Two years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting
- IV therapy certification or experience

Requirements
Experience: Two years of nursing experience preferred
Education: Graduate of accredited school of nursing
License & Certification:
- Practical Nurse License (Washington) within 6 months of hire
- Compact License: Practical Nurse within 6 months of hire
- Practical Nurse License (Oregon) within 6 months of hire
- Basic Life Support
