Job Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the patient’s care team including primary care team, specialists, home care, hospital team, and any others involved with the patient’s care to optimize clinical outcomes.
- Performs Nurse Manager duties in the absence of NM.
- Supervises assigned staff, establishing work assignments and priorities in relation to nursing services available.
- Conducts weekly review and adjustment of timecards and time off requests.
- Provides input for performance evaluations, monitors orientation of new hires, and coaches/counsels staff in conjunction with NMO and HR.
- Monitors health center equipment needs and ensures compliance with infection control standards, CLIA, and Radiology regulations.
- Monitors compliance with standards of care for on-site treatments and procedures, administration of medications, and timely clinical workflows.
- Enhances patient experience by addressing and resolving patient issues in a timely manner.
- Conducts daily patient care huddles.
- Responsible for approving payroll and administering performance evaluations in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
- Completes daily/weekly quality assurance checklists and delegates tasks appropriately to staff.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and Central Health Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensures adherence to applicable vaccine policies and may serve as Vaccine Coordinator or backup Coordinator.
- Supports Provider teams by assisting with in-basket management, refilling medications, and triaging patients as appropriate.
- Practices AIDET during each patient interaction to enhance the patient experience.
- Participates in the hiring process for new staff members by conducting interviews and making recommendations.
- Acts as a resource to Medical Assistants and other clinical team members.
- Responds to all clinic codes.
- Assists in developing departmental protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Participates in continuous quality improvement projects.
- Maintains awareness of key performance indicators/metrics and coordinates interventions to improve patient outcomes.
- Coordinates and attends staff meetings and education offerings.
- Supports organizational initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture.
- Serves on committees as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: Two years supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
License & Certification:
- Unrestricted Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained through approved American Heart Association or Red Cross
