Job Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care to clinic patients.
- Perform diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures.
- Independently triage nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols.
- Address more complex, urgent or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
- Administer patient medications per written provider order and track medication usage.
- Assist with point of care testing (CLIA-Waived Tests only) and lab tests following established protocols.
- Document procedures and interactions in patient’s electronic medical record.
- Prepare patients for practitioner visits, obtain and record vital signs and other appropriate information.
- Chaperone and document the patient exam, ensuring patient privacy and comfort.
- Organize exam rooms, including general cleaning, upkeep and re-stocking of supplies.
- Prepare, clean and sterilize instruments and maintain related equipment.
- Demonstrate proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication.
- Demonstrate knowledge and proper skills associated with the department’s specific populations served.
- Perform related duties as required.

Preferred Skills
- One year RN work experience in a clinic setting
- Two years of acute care RN work experience
Requirements
Experience: One year RN work experience in a clinic setting OR two years of acute care RN work experience preferred.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
License & Certification:
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
