Job Title: Experienced Clinical Nurse - Outpatient Pediatrics Child & Adolescent Center (7:30a - 6p)

Position: Nursing position for pediatric and adolescent hematology/oncology patients

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: minimum: 68000, midpoint: 105000, maximum: 142000

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM with rotating day off and some on-call for weekends and holidays

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide care to pediatric and AYA hematology/oncology patients
  • Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and immunotherapies
  • Participate in daily unit operations to achieve financial goals
  • Provide quality and fiscally responsible patient care
  • Anticipate patient and family needs in collaboration with the nursing team
  • Utilize available materials responsibly for direct patient care
  • Practice autonomously within the scope of professional nursing practice
  • Participate in change initiatives and demonstrate loyalty to the team
  • Foster peer relationships and participate in coaching and mentoring
  • Provide exemplary nursing practice and contribute to innovation and improvement
  • Comply with regulatory standards and foster an environment of change
  • Engage in problem solving to meet unit goals and improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to staff evaluations and professional development
  • Build relationships to improve patient and family outcomes

Required Skills

  • Certification in oncology or specialty area

Requirements

Experience: Two years of relevant clinical nursing experience preferably in Pediatrics or Oncology

Education: required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, preferred: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing

License & Certification:

  • Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
