Job Responsibilities
- Act as a Skilled Nursing Facility’s leading provider of internal medicine services.
- Collaborate with the facility’s interdisciplinary team and physicians.
- Serve as a day-to-day clinical leader while helping oversee the care of all residents.
- Oversee day-to-day care of the entire facility’s patient population with nursing staff assistance.
- Conduct evaluation of new-admission visits.
- Coordinate discharge visits.
- Perform monthly stability visits for long term residents.
- Evaluate patients exhibiting changes in condition.
- Provide comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnosis.
- Prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients.
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities.
- Communicate with attending physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care.
Required Skills

- Strong leadership experience with emphasis on teamwork in a healthcare setting
