Job Responsibilities
- Provides basic patient care including care and comfort, vital sign measurement, personal care and hygiene, and assists with mobility.
- Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and/or concerns.
- Provides high-level customer service to all patients, families, visitors, and employees.
- Provides accurate, precise, timely documentation when applicable for patient care.
- Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information regarding patient and departmental needs.
- Performs delegated tasks once competency has been validated.
- Mobilizes patients using therapeutic transfer techniques to foster independence and safety.
- Encourages patients to complete tasks as independently as possible.
- Individualizes care based on patient's interests and hobbies.

Requirements
Experience: Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care facility preferred.
Education: None specified.
License & Certification:
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire)
- Successful completion of nursing aide training program
- Successful passing of STNA State Tested Nurse Aide (required if OH LTC)
- CNA Certified Nurse Aide
- Completion of a nursing program with one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation
- 1 year of relevant experience in a clinical setting
