Job Responsibilities
- Provide high quality, individualized, goal-directed care for all patients and their families.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
- Escort patients to and from exam rooms and prepare them for physicians.
- Take vital signs and record medical history/symptoms.
- Ensure medical chart/lab test results are available and complete.
- Develop and achieve daily patient-centered individualized care goals using a team approach.
- Acknowledge and value contributions of patients’ significant others.
- Perform telephone triage and patient education.
- Handle physician phone calls and pharmacy calls.
- Assist in calling to set up appointments or arrange hospital tests/admissions.
- Administer immunizations and minor treatments as prescribed.
- Record and document all activities in the chart.
- Assist physician with patient examinations, diagnostic tests, and procedures.
- Clean and stock all patient examination rooms.
- Prepare instruments for procedures and keep a list of needed medical supplies.
- Complete paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, and school/work notes.
- Counsel patients concerning lifestyle modifications and medication regimens.
- Communicate follow-up appointments and necessary testing to patients.
- Coordinate ordering of tests/procedures with other clinical staff.
- Respond to patient questions and concerns as a liaison between physician and patient.
- Report all test results to the patient as directed by the physician.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
Experience: At least one year of working experience as an RN.
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
License & Certification:
- State of Alabama RN or LPN License
