Job Responsibilities

  • Identify care needs for patient populations across the continuum of care.
  • Collaborate and provide leadership in the development of standards of care, patient/family education and staff education.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and provide leadership within the delivery of patient care.
  • Provide leadership in educational activities, departmental committees, research projects and other health-related projects.
  • Appraise quality and effectiveness of material and equipment and collaborate with appropriate departments for feedback.
  • Guide the professional growth of others through role modeling, coaching and/or mentoring.
  • Conduct performance reviews and recommend personnel actions.
  • Monitor clinical practice for compliance with practice and regulatory standards.
  • Plan and deliver in-house education sessions or collaborate with subject matter experts.
  • Serve as a superuser for clinical information systems and facilitate adoption of new technology.

Required Skills

  • Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina
  • BLS certification

  • Competency in BLS and specialized life support

Requirements

Experience: Three years of nursing experience required.

Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a BSN degree.

License & Certification:

  • Current RN licensure in North Carolina
  • BLS certification
