Job Title: Clinical Nurse Supervisor (Broughton Hospital)

Position: Nurse Supervisor I

Job Type: Full Time

Pay: $95,000 - $110,044

Shift: 8-hour shifts, 7:00am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday with alternating weekends and holidays

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the 24-hour delivery of clinical nursing care, both physical and psychosocial.
  • Maintain adequate nursing staff coverage.
  • Monitor the delivery of nursing care and identify nursing needs and issues.
  • Develop approaches to solve identified nursing issues.
  • Serve as a professional resource to staff and monitor compliance with policies and standards.
  • Lead employees by demonstrating a professional, caring approach.
  • Advise and counsel employees on job performance and conduct.
  • Collaborate with service area supervision to implement plans for employee development.
  • Listen, ask questions, and provide feedback to employees.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with healthcare personnel, patients, families, and others.
  • Assess employee competencies and participate in management reviews.
  • Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of nursing staff.
  • Delegate and assign tasks.
  • Promote communication and address quality monitoring and performance improvement issues.

Required Skills

Core Skills

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina
  • Two years of nursing experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and evaluating nursing staff
  • Experience implementing and evaluating evidence-based practices
  • Experience assessing patients across the lifespan
  • Experience working with patients with substance abuse, mental illness, and Intellectual Developmental Disorders
