Job Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff.
- Promote the delivery of quality care compliant with current standards.
- Create, support, and facilitate person-centered care plans.
- Align training and services with Benedictine Standards and protocols.
- Adhere to department budget while promoting resource utilization.
- Adjust staffing hours based on acuity, census, and care plans.
- Negotiate with payers for appropriate service plans or payments.
- Direct hiring, evaluation, counseling, and termination of nursing staff.
- Ensure clinical staff development programs meet regulatory and staff needs.
- Foster a culture of quality assurance performance improvement (QAPI).
- Develop and evaluate the nursing department quality assurance program.
- Manage resident and family satisfaction, staff engagement, and safety measures.
- Conduct investigations and complete reports required by regulators.
- Implement policies to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Serve as a liaison with regional leadership and various community partners.
- Regularly update Executive Director and leadership on progress and concerns.
- Accept other community, clinical leadership roles as needed.
- Promote the Benedictine Mission and Core Values in daily activities.

Requirements
Experience: Five (5) years of RN experience as a clinical leader or Director of Nursing
Education:
License & Certification:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
- BLS certification
Schedule:
- Extended travel may be required
- Additional hours outside normal schedule may be necessary
