Job Responsibilities

Fill in as the interim Director of Nursing in one of the North Shore Healthcare facilities as needed.
Plan, organize, direct, supervise, and evaluate all nursing services provided in the center.
Ensure nursing department compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Implement center nursing core programs.
Maintain records and reports concerning resident care.
Oversee the orientation and training of nursing services personnel.
Manage the Nursing department within budget.
Follow all center policies and procedures.

Required Skills

Core Skills

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with the state of assignment
Demonstrated success in nursing leadership position for at least 3 years
Good financial and management skills
Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and extensive overnight travel
Polished communication and presentation skills
Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft products
Demonstrated leadership competency
Ability to relate positively with residents, families, and center staff

Preferred Skills

Experience in a fast-paced environment
Special interest in working with long-term care residents and the elderly

Requirements

Experience: At least 3 years of demonstrated success in Nursing leadership position
